Using as it's base Scarab's ‘Single Engine with Hydrostatic Transmission' system, the Merlin XP offers the largest payload available for the 7.5 tonne chassis whilst providing low fuel consumption. The advanced engine emission control systems enable the Merlin XP to deliver greatly reduced exhaust emissions well within the requirements of the latest emission control legislation. In the cab, all operations of suction fan, brushes, hopper, work lights and water sprays are directed by Scarab's CANbus system touchpad, giving instant and simple control.

The Merlin XP has Impressive Suction Power meaning that a Single Pass will be enough even on the most stubborn of sites along with a maximum `no trails` sweep width of up to 2950mm and a standard water tank which will hold up to 900 litres, very handy when utilizing the low pressure water system or for use with the powerful street wash system.
